I used to like the snow. Now I find it depressing.

After a sudden winter rain storm, this appeared in the eastern sky.

 

Hidden colors

 

Even a gloomy day at the park looks good when I use a little color correct. The rusty reds weren't visible in the original photo, but they add character to the other wise dull scene.

Psychedelic

When I first took this photo of autumn leaves it looked washed out. Enhancing the colors made it look more like I remember it from that bright autumn day.

Picture in picture

This isn't so much a photograph as it is a picture...

the first picture book I made with Shutterfly! It turned out pretty cute, even though it's literally paper thin and they left out one of the pictures and I had to have them remake it and send me a corrected copy.  *((PS: The 'corrected copy' had the SAME mistake. Overall I like Shutterfly, but sheesh, they dropped the ball on this project twice.) Fortunately the Beach Cottage book I made after this one turned out fine.))

Nevertheless, I was happy with the result.

Summer storm

Okay, so maybe it's January, but I'm always in the mood to be at the beach. Here's one of those sudden summer thunder storms I love so much.

It glows!

 

Took this picture in my daughter's room. With a little enhancement, a sparkly lava lamp becomes a torch that mesmerizes a stuffed animal.

 

 

Green!

 

I'm in the mood to green the place up. Can't wait to start this year's garden. If I could have a yard full of giant plants like this one, I would.

Ring in the new

 

I find that the Christmas tree tends to make the room look cozy, so when it's time to take the tree down, the room cools off. This round vase replaced the tree - hopefully it will remind me of spring and keep the room warm.

My kale obsession

I seem to take a lot of pictures of kale. This was my December 26th harvest - which became kale chips. A little work and the kale looks like someone tossed it in the air.

I chose this picture of the family of rocks that live in one of my terrariums because I'm hoping this year will be a year of whimsical nonsense. I want to create new worlds where fun things happen, so here's to 2016 - have a Happy!
